Finally, something for storage!
After another trip to Hobby Lobby and 50% off ribbon, my ribbon collection has exploded. I pre-washed most of it and rolled it back up. I couldn't figure out a better way to store it. I wanted it easily accessible and I wanted to be able to see what I had. I saw in another blog, someone had it on a hanger. Well, I messed up and cut the hanger instead of unwinding it.
However, I think I like this better.
I cut the hanger near the neck. I bent the long side down. I put my ribbon on it, and left a few inches at the bottom. I turned the bottom up, so it wouldn't fall off. This one has 31 rolls on it.
I love it! I can see all of the ribbon I have. When I need to use it, I can just take the whole thing down, compare the ribbon to the fabric, unwind some, cut and pin back on the roll. I don't have to dig through a box of ribbon. I need to do the rest of my ribbon that is still in the box!

Ribbon burp cloth and bib set!
To make this set, I took 3/4 inch ribbon and added rick rack to the top of it. I measured out about how much I would need for all 4 items and added a couple of inches. I sewed the rick rack to the top of it.
After embroidering the names, I measured the the bib and cut a piece of ribbon about 1/2 inch larger than the width of where I wanted it. I folded the end under and placed it on the edge and began to sew it on. Making sure it was straight as I went along. When I got to the other end, I folded it under and continued until I got to the end. I then top stitched along the other edge of the ribbon, sewing it down. I then top stitched the left and right sides down.
I repeated this process with the burp cloths as well. I lined the ribbon up along the bottom edge of the burp cloth and folded each end under, sewing all the way around the ribbon.
