Christmas Gifts #3 (finally finished!)

What a sense of accomplishment I feel right now! I just finished sewing my last Christmas gift. I have been so busy sewing. Here are a few pictures of all of the things I have made.

I finished making the clutch purses for everyone.
Denim with brown, white and blue.

The inside! Complete with 2 credit card pockets!

Denim with brown and pink.

The inside! Love it!

And the first one I made with better pictures!

Now this I made using a pattern from Sew News magazine. It is essentially a garment bag with pockets. Its purpose??? A wrapping paper organizer! My mom saw this in the magazine and mentioned she might like one. So I decided to try it out. It was frustrating at first, but I'm really happy I figured it out and I think it looks great!

It zips open for more storage inside.

And I wanted to see what it would look like filled up. I kind of wish the pockets were bigger. I feel like the picture in the magazine had more room. Oh well, I think it will work great!

I also finished up with my nieces. I made them a bunch of head bands. The middle one, loves head bands, and the oldest is growing out her bangs. So I thought these would be great to help with that.

Chirstmas Gifts #2

I decided to make these for my Mom and Mother-in-Law for their reading glasses. This is the first time I have attempted something with a lining. I think they turned out okay for my first go around. I used this tutorial. However, I didn't finish it the way she did. I left my opening in the bottom of my lining, instead of around the top. It took me a little while to figure out and I even had to take one apart and start over! But now I know for next time.

I have been very busy the past 2 weeks!

First off, I received a special order. I whipped these up yesterday. I already had the fabric cut out, so it didn't take very long. I will have to ship these tomorrow.

Last weekend, I started this little project for Christmas presents. My nieces love to play dress up, they love frilly things and they love pink and purple. I used this tutorial. They were super easy and only took about a half hour each from cutting to tying. I used about 3 rolls of pink and 3 rolls of purple tulle.

Kelsey's skirt

Katie and Karlee's skirts
(Gotta love accentuating my thighs!)

I have also been working on this gift for Kelsy for the past 3 weekends. I was told she could really use some new bibs, burp cloths and her binky clip I made was looking pretty ratty the last time I saw her. Plus, she is always wearing the same one. A girl has to accessorize you know?

So here are 6 bibs with matching binky clips and burp cloths.

Navy and Red

Black and Hot Pink

Pink Flowers

Pink and Brown Dot

Pink and White

Hot Pink

Target had towels for $1.49 on Black Friday, so I picked up a few for gifts. I decided to make the girls personalized towels as another Christmas gift. I made them all the same, so no one would get upset about what color their name was in!

Up next, I'm working on a wrapping paper holder from Sew News magazine. My mom saw it and really wanted one. I am also making clutches for all the adult women I need a gift for. I'm also making the girls headbands. So stay tuned for more next week!

Another Etsy Order!

I was pleasantly surprised when I received an email stating I had an Etsy sale today! One of my binky clips sold and she wanted a bib. So I made the bib to match the binky clip. They turned out Super Cute!!!

So much to do, no time to do it!

I've been extremely busy with work, family, life etc. I don't think it will ever slow down until Summer! It has been nice to find a little time to sew. I've had a few orders, and a few gifts to make. Here are a few pictures of some of my recent projects.

I had a housewarming party to go to and thought the kids would like their very own towels.

I made 4 burpcloths and 3 binky clips for a gift.

A friend sent me some material and I made her some burp cloths. I had a little extra fabric and made a changing pad with it.

"Nail" Aprons for work!

Last year I made myself a "nail" apron to replace my boring old Lowes apron. I got several compliments on it. In my classroom I do a ticket reward system. I had a few teachers ask for one. Some bought my fabric and I made it for free. This year, our school has gone to a school wide ticket reward system. I decided to make a few extra aprons ahead of time to have ready to sell! I'm already sold 2, and today the principal let me put up a flier in the mail room. I'm selling them for $10.

This is what mine looks like!

Here are a few of the ones I made to sell. I also made one out of "crayon" fabric and a black and white paisley.
